Job summary

SEMI Integration (M) Sdn Bhd seeks a Programmer to join Japan-facing software development projects. You will code, implement, and test according to detailed designs and Japanese specs, under senior guidance.

The role requires 3+ years in software development with Java, React, Oracle, MySQL and familiarity with Spring Boot, REST API, and SQL. Reading Japanese specs (JLPT N3) is a plus and Mandarin communication is valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS/SE or related field.
• 3+ years of software development experience, with involvement in Japan-facing projects.
• Hands-on experience with Java, React, Oracle, and MySQL.
• Familiarity with Spring Boot, REST API development, and SQL queries.
• Understanding of Git and basic development tools.
• Reading Japanese specification documents (JLPT N3) is an advantage.
• Ability to communicate with Mandarin-speaking customers and teams.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Japan-facing software development projects under guidance of System Engineers and Project Leaders.
• Perform coding and implementation based on detailed design documents and Japanese specifications.
• Conduct unit testing to ensure code quality and functionality.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and fix software bugs in a timely manner.
• Follow coding standards and best practices as defined by the project team.
• Document code changes and testing results as required.
