About the role

As an IT Technician at Vinak Wisetech Malaysia Sdn Bhd, you will play a crucial role in supporting and maintaining the company's hardware and software infrastructure. Based in Batu Kawan Penang, this full-time position requires a hands‑on approach to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, ensuring the seamless operation of the organization's technology systems.

What you'll be doing

Providing end‑user support for hardware and software‑related issues
Performing regular maintenance and updates on computers, servers, and other IT equipment
Diagnosing and resolving hardware and software problems in a timely manner
Documenting and tracking IT‑related incidents and resolutions
Assisting with the implementation and configuration of new technology solutions
Collaborating with the IT team to ensure the security and reliability of the company's IT infrastructure
Providing training and guidance to users on the proper use of IT systems

What we're looking for

Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field
1-2 years of experience as an Field Application Engineer or in a similar role
Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
Proficient in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software
Familiarity with common operating systems, such as Windows and Linux
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
