Job summary

Toray Malaysia Systems Solution (TMS) in Penang seeks an IT Technical Support professional to provide desktop hardware/software support and have strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. The role requires Mandarin for Taiwan user communications and involves updating asset inventories and IT documentation.

You will handle a range of software and hardware, ensure timely request closure, and work with cross-functional teams to implement cost-effective solutions that meet regulatory and company

Qualifications

• Possess at least Diploma, Post Graduate Diploma, or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent.
• At least 2–3 years of working experience in the related field.
• Strong technical knowledge, networking capabilities and relationship management skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work under pressure.
• Able to speak Mandarin for communication with Taiwan–based users.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT hardware and software support for desktop, laptop, printer, barcode printer, barcode scanner, RF scanner, thin clients, AV and other IT accessories.
• Support software including Microsoft BitLocker, Windows Defender, Windows OS, MS Office, SCCM, Trend Micro antivirus, Full Disk Encryption, Adobe Reader, Kofax PowerPDF, Chrome, Edge, GlobalProtect, Cisco Jabber, Stratodesk, VSpace, Zoom, and IT tools.
• Demonstrate strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Update IT documentation when needed (e.g. IT loan unit tracking).
• Analyze user requests and propose cost-effective, compliant solutions meeting business requirements.
• Update IT Asset Inventory upon changes to an asset in eITIMS.
• Keep manager well-informed of any updates.
