Job summary

Flintex Consulting Pte Ltd in Johor Bahru, Malaysia seeks an IT Support Specialist to maintain hardware, software, networking, servers, and business systems to ensure smooth production operations.

You will install, configure, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, operating systems, and business applications; manage network infrastructure; support ERP/MES, payroll, and attendance; back up data and coordinate with external vendors while upholding cybersecurity requirements.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant IT support experience. (If for Assistant, minimum 1–2 years).
• Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, networking, and server administration.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for computer hardware, software, printers, and IT equipment.
• Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, operating systems, and business applications.
• Assist in managing and maintaining the company's network infrastructure, including LAN, Wi-Fi, routers, switches, and Internet connectivity.
• Support server administration, user accounts, email systems, and file sharing services.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system issues promptly.
• Perform system backups, software updates, and antivirus maintenance.
• Maintain IT inventory, asset records, and technical documentation.
• Support ERP, MES, attendance, payroll, and other business systems.
• Coordinate with external vendors for IT maintenance, equipment procurement, and technical support.
• Ensure compliance with company IT policies and cybersecurity requirements.
