Job summary

Flintex Consulting Pte Ltd in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Engineer to manage and secure our production IT environment. The role covers servers, networks, storage, cybersecurity, and hardware to ensure stable operations across manufacturing processes.

You will implement and monitor infrastructure, coordinate upgrades, handle backups, DR, and vendor support, while collaborating with ERP/MES teams to keep systems running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT/CS/CE or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT infrastructure, networks and server administration.
• Experience in manufacturing environments is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the company’s IT infrastructure, including servers.
• Administer LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, firewalls, routers and switches.
• Install and maintain Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file servers.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and minimize downtime.
• Manage backups, disaster recovery and business continuity.
• Implement IT security measures including endpoint protection and access control.
• Support ERP, MES, email, databases from an infrastructure perspective.
• Plan upgrades and expansion of servers, networks and infrastructure.
• Maintain IT asset inventory, documentation and network diagrams.
• Provide Level 2/3 infrastructure support.
• Coordinate with vendors for procurement, maintenance and support.
