Job summary

Flintex Consulting in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, is seeking a Senior Infrastructure Support Engineer to ensure stability, security, and efficiency of IT infrastructure. You will bridge Helpdesk, Data center, and Network functions while supporting daily operations and projects.

The role requires 5+ years in IT infrastructure, strong Windows and networking skills, and proactive problem solving to drive service improvements. On-site work in Malaysia is expected.

Qualifications

• Degree in Information Systems, IT, or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in IT support and infrastructure operations.
• At least 2 years hands-on LAN/network infrastructure management.

Responsibilities

• End-User Support: on-site and remote support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals; incident resolution and escalation; primary interface for end users.
• System Administration: Windows Server maintenance, health checks, log monitoring, patch deployment (WSUS); asset inventory and compliance.
• Network & Security Support: networking fundamentals; manage switches, APs, controllers, routers, firewalls; monitor LAN/Wi-Fi; security controls and remote access.
• Backup & Recovery Management: daily backup jobs (Arcserve UDP), monitoring, restoration requests, disaster recovery testing.
• Operations & Project Support: support daily IT operations across office and production environments.
