Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an adaptable IT Executive to handle L1 and L2 technical support for our organization. You will be the primary contact for day‑to‑day user issues and own more complex system, network, and infrastructure troubleshooting.

Requirements include a Diploma/Bachelor in IT or related field, 1–2 years of hands‑on experience, and strong familiarity with Windows/Mac OS and MS 365. Local network and security knowledge is essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field
• Minimum 1–2 years of hands‑on experience covering both end‑user support and basic network/system administration
• Strong familiarity with Windows/Mac OS and Microsoft 365 administration
• Practical knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and firewall management
• Experience with backup tools (Synology or windows backup) and remote support software (e.g., AnyDesk, TeamViewer)
• Excellent logical troubleshooting skills
• Capability to work independently on L2 issues

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for staff regarding hardware, software, printer, and account issues
• Manage user onboarding/offboarding, including setting up emails (IMAP/POP) and active directory accounts
• Format, configure, and deploy laptops, desktops, and peripheral devices for new hires
• Troubleshoot and maintain local network infrastructure, including switches, routers, Wi‑Fi access points, and VPNs
• Monitor and maintain local server health, access controls, and regular data backups
• Investigate complex software crashes, OS errors, and network bottlenecks that cannot be resolved at the L1 level
• Implement and monitor endpoint security, firewall rules, and anti‑virus updates to protect company data
• Liaise with external vendors (ISPs, hardware suppliers) for unresolved L2 or L3 infrastructure issues
