Job summary

Kidskool Cyberjaya in Malaysia seeks an IT Support Specialist to provide level 1 and 2 technical support for hardware, software, email, printers and network issues. You will install, configure and maintain IT equipment and set up user accounts for new staff.

The role requires familiarity with Windows, Microsoft 365 and basic networking; experience with Active Directory, VPN or cloud systems is a plus. You will educate employees on cybersecurity and coordinate with vendors as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
• Fresh graduates may be considered for a junior position.
• 1–3 years IT support, helpdesk or desktop support experience preferred.
• Familiar with Windows operating systems, Microsoft 365, Outlook and basic networking.
• Knowledge of Active Directory, firewall, VPN, cloud systems or server administration is a plus.
• Good troubleshooting, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to explain technical matters clearly to non-technical employees.
• Willing to travel to other branches or provide after-hours support when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1 and Level 2 technical support for hardware, software, email, printer, internet and network-related issues.
• Install, configure and maintain computers, laptops, printers, mobile devices and other IT equipment.
• Set up user accounts, email accounts and system access for new employees.
• Manage user access rights and deactivate accounts promptly when employees leave.
• Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, Outlook, Teams, OneDrive and other business applications.
• Troubleshoot basic LAN, Wi‑Fi, VPN, router and network connectivity issues.
• Monitor the performance of IT equipment and systems and perform routine maintenance and updates.
• Coordinate with external IT vendors and service providers for repairs and complex issues.
• Assist with data backup, antivirus protection, system updates and basic cybersecurity measures.
• Educate employees on cybersecurity awareness, password security, phishing emails and proper use of Company IT resources.
• Support CCTV, access control, telephone systems or other office technology, where applicable.
• Prepare simple IT procedures, user guides and troubleshooting documentation.
• Respond to IT support requests within the required service timeline and maintain records of reported incidents.
• Perform any other IT-related duties assigned by Management.
