Job summary

CWIS Systems Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an ICT user support technician to assist staff with software, hardware, networks and Internet issues. You will diagnose problems, install and maintain systems, and provide clear guidance.

The ideal candidate holds a degree or higher in a relevant field, is a fast learner, communicates well in Bahasa Malaysia and English, and can work under pressure to meet targets. Experience with IT operations and independent problem solving is valued.

Responsibilities

• ICT user support technician provides technical assistance to users via direct or remote channels (phone, email, etc.), diagnosing and resolving software, hardware, network, database and Internet issues.
• Diagnose and resolve problems with deployment, installation and maintenance of systems.
• Enter commands and observe system functioning to verify correct operations and detect errors.
• Install and perform minor repairs to hardware, software or peripherals.
• Oversee daily performance of communications and computer systems.
• Set up equipment for employee use and install cables, OS or software.
• Maintain records of daily data transmission, problems and remedial actions.
• Replicate technical problems and research solutions from guides and manuals.
• Assist applications programmers, systems developers and other ICT professionals in testing ICT products and services.
