CPI (Penang) is seeking an experienced IT Software Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance business-critical applications, ERP systems, web applications, and IT services within the organization. You will ensure high availability on a 24/7/365 basis, administer ERP (SAP) and manufacturing systems, troubleshoot issues, develop and maintain web-based apps, and produce documentation and training for users.

We are looking for an experienced and proactive IT Software Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance business-critical applications, ERP systems, web applications, and IT services within the organization.
Ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of business-critical applications and systems on a 24/7/365 basis.
Administer, maintain, and provide technical support for ERP (SAP), manufacturing systems, and other enterprise applications.
Troubleshoot application and system issues and provide higher-level technical support to users and IT teams.
Monitor enterprise applications and business services, investigate system alerts, and perform necessary corrective actions.
Manage application-related incidents from investigation through resolution, including coordination and escalation to internal IT teams and external vendors.
Identify recurring system issues, perform root-cause analysis, and recommend improvements to prevent future incidents.
Monitor scheduled and batch operations, including backup, restore, data loading, and system jobs.
Develop, enhance, troubleshoot, and maintain web-based applications, corporate websites, and internal intranet applications.
Develop, modify, and maintain Microsoft SharePoint applications and solutions.
Work with Microsoft SQL Server, including database queries, troubleshooting, data extraction, and application support.
Generate technical and management reports using relevant monitoring and reporting tools.
Create and maintain technical documentation, application documentation, scripts, source code documentation, and user guides.
Develop training materials and provide guidance to end users on applications and systems.
Work closely with the IT Service Desk, infrastructure teams, management, and external vendors during major incidents.
Provide backup support for hardware-related matters when required.
Participate in software/application projects, system enhancements, implementations, testing, and other assigned IT initiatives.
Provide technical guidance to junior team members or subordinates, where applicable.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
Strong knowledge and/or hands‑on experience in ERP systems (SAP), manufacturing systems, Microsoft SQL Server, and web-based applications.
Experience in application development, maintenance, troubleshooting, and production support.
Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint will be an added advantage.
Good analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving skills.
Able to work independently and manage multiple technical issues effectively.
Fast learner with a proactive and positive working attitude.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Good command of written and spoken English.
Willing to provide support for business‑critical systems when required.
Experience supporting ERP/SAP applications in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with system integration, databases, APIs, scripting, or automation.
Experience in application monitoring, incident management, and production support.
