Job summary

BW Yee Seng Steel Industries is seeking an IT Support professional to maintain hardware and software across the organisation in Selangor. You will manage daily tickets, assist ERP/WMS systems, and work with vendors to deliver end-user changes.

You will troubleshoot issues, set up devices, manage user access, and support network infrastructure while coordinating with business units and IT teams to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduate or 2–3 years working experience in IT support.
• Knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/MSSQL) helpful.
• Experience with ERP/WMS or related business systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for hardware and software within the organisation.
• Handle daily IT support tickets and incident management across infra & applications.
• Support full cycle delivery for end-user change requests: collect requirements, analysis, configuration, testing, deployment.
• Interact with end-users and vendors to analyse needs and propose solutions.
• Participate in data security, disaster recovery and system monitoring tasks.
• Troubleshoot application issues and provide resolutions.
• Manage user accounts and access rights controls.
• Monitor system performance and availability for optimal operation.
• Conduct end-user training and create simple guides.
• Coordinate with business users, IT teams and external vendors.
• Setup and troubleshoot laptops/desktops and other devices for staff.
• Manage IT asset inventory and local server room hardware.
• Monitor LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi, switches, routers, access points.
• Oversee CCTV feeds and related infrastructure.
• Perform any other duties assigned by management.

• Provide technical support for both hardware and software applications within the organisation.
• Handle daily IT support tickets and incident management (Infra & overall applications, including ERP, WMS, other business systems).
• Support the full cycle of delivery for the end-user's change request, including gather user requirement, analysis, configuration, testing and deployment. Participate in the system configuration, setup test environment, user acceptance testing and deployment of new application features or enhancements.
• Work with end-users and vendor to analyse business needs and identify the solution.
• Participate in task forces related to data security, disaster recovery and system monitoring.
• Troubleshoot application issues and provide resolution.
• Manage user accounts setup and user access rights controls.
• Monitor application performance and system availability to ensure optimal operation.
• Conduct end-user training session and create basic user guides.
• Coordinate with business users, IT teams, and external vendors.
• Setup, configure, deploy, and troubleshoot laptops, desktops and others for all staff.
• Manage the IT asset inventory, tracking hardware assignments, warranties and maintain local server room hardware.
• Monitor and optimize LAN, WAN and Wi-Fi networks including switches, routers, and access points.
• Manage the company CCTV feeds.
• And any other job as assigned by the management from time to time.

Requirements

• Basic knowledge of databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL/MSSQL).
• Basic understanding of Microsoft 365 ecosystem (SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, Office).
• Interest or basic experience in Crystal Report, Reporting Services, Power Automate and Power Apps is a plus.
• Experience with any other ERP/WMS system is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of business processes such as supply chain, sales, production, finance, quality, etc.
• Knowledge in LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, routing, switching, VLAN, DNS, DHCP, virtualization and network security.
• Experience with routers, switches, firewalls is an added advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivation, positive attitude, proactive mindset, and ability to work with cross-
• functional teams.
• Willingness to learn new skills and platforms.
• Team player with ability to work under minimum supervision.

Qualification

• Minimum fresh graduate or 2 / 3 years working experience in Similar Job Scope.
• Pursuing a degree in IT, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
