IT Project Manager – Banking / Software Implementation

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to manage and deliver end-to-end software implementation and system enhancement projects within a banking environment.

Key responsibilities

Lead and manage IT system implementation and enhancement projects from initiation through project closure.

Develop project charters, project plans, schedules, budgets and implementation strategies.

Manage project scope, timelines, costs, resources, risks, issues and dependencies.

Coordinate with internal teams, business stakeholders and external vendors to ensure successful project delivery.

Manage project governance, change control, quality, audit and compliance requirements.

Conduct project meetings and provide regular project status updates to management and key stakeholders.

Prepare management reports and present project updates at steering committee meetings where required.

Proactively identify project risks and issues and develop appropriate mitigation and resolution plans.

Manage vendor delivery and ensure agreed timelines, quality and deliverables are achieved.

Support post-go-live activities, including warranty support, issue management and project closure.

About you

Minimum 5 years of IT Project Management experience with a proven track record in software implementation delivery.

Experience managing projects through the full project lifecycle, from initiation and planning through implementation and closure.

Experience in the banking or financial services industry is highly preferred.

Experience in internet banking, mobile applications, digital banking or digital delivery projects will be an added advantage.

Strong experience in project planning, risk and issue management, quality control, implementation and vendor management.

Experience handling project governance, audit and compliance requirements.

Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams and functions.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Able to manage multiple priorities and deliver within tight deadlines.
