Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead projects through the full lifecycle—from initiation and planning to SIT, UAT, implementation and go-live. You will coordinate cross-functional teams across Business, Application, Infrastructure, Architecture, Testing, Security and vendors to deliver business objectives.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in IT project management, strong Waterfall/SDLC experience, and a track record of delivering end-to-end projects on time and

Qualifications

• 10+ years of IT project management / technology delivery experience.
• Strong experience managing Waterfall / structured SDLC projects.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end IT projects from initiation through production go-live.
• Experience with application implementation, system enhancement, migration, integration or digital transformation projects.
• Strong stakeholder, vendor and cross-functional team management skills.
• Good understanding of SIT, UAT, deployment, cutover, production implementation and post-go-live support.
• Strong project governance, risk management and reporting capabilities.
• Experience with tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence or equivalent is advantageous.
• Banking, financial services or insurance industry experience is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead projects through the full lifecycle, from initiation, planning and requirements through SIT, UAT, implementation and go-live
• Develop and manage project plans, milestones, schedules, resources, dependencies and deliverables
• Apply Waterfall / structured SDLC / Hybrid delivery methodologies where appropriate
• Manage project scope, timeline, budget, risks, issues, dependencies and change requests
• Coordinate cross-functional teams including Business, Application, Infrastructure, Architecture, Testing, Security and vendors
• Drive requirements clarification and ensure project deliverables are aligned with business objectives
• Manage SIT, UAT, defect resolution, deployment, cutover and post-production activities
• Prepare and maintain project governance documentation, RAID logs, status reports and steering committee updates
• Manage third-party vendors and ensure delivery against agreed scope, milestones, quality and SLAs
• Facilitate project meetings and provide regular progress reporting to senior stakeholders

About you

10+ years of IT project management / technology delivery experience

Strong experience managing Waterfall / structured SDLC projects

Proven experience managing end-to-end IT projects from initiation through production go-live

Experience with application implementation, system enhancement, migration, integration or digital transformation projects

Strong stakeholder, vendor and cross-functional team management skills

Good understanding of SIT, UAT, deployment, cutover, production implementation and post-go-live support

Strong project governance, risk management and reporting capabilities

Experience with tools such as MS Project, Jira, Confluence or equivalent is advantageous

PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent project management certification is an advantage

Banking, financial services or insurance industry experience is strongly preferred
