Job summary

Singtel, launching a Global Business Services center in Kuala Lumpur, seeks IT Operations Engineers to ensure continuous monitoring, support, and maintenance of customers’ SD‑WAN solutions and IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities include proactive monitoring of Windows servers, virtualization, network infrastructure, incident management, and changes across multiple SD‑WAN platforms. Rotating 12‑hour shifts (day/night) with 24x7 coverage apply.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Networking or related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in IT infrastructure operations or technical support (LAN/WAN/Cloud/System).
• Relevant professional certifications (ITIL, CCNA, CCNP, VMware, SD‑WAN) are advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; interest in information security and network reliability.
• Fluent in English, with good interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and support performance and availability of IT systems, including Windows servers and core infrastructure services.
• Monitor and support network infrastructure (routers, switches, SD‑WAN, firewalls) and provide first-level support.
• Respond to and resolve IT incidents; document incidents and resolutions.
• Execute standard service requests and changes across SD‑WAN platforms (Cisco Viptela, Velocloud, RansNet, SilverPeak, Fortinet).
• Perform daily health checks, log reviews, and performance monitoring; ensure tasks meet SLAs.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and coordinate with specialist teams/vendors.
• Participate in maintenance activities and operational improvements.
• Maintain clear communication with IT teams and stakeholders; provide status updates.
• Follow policies and regulatory standards for secure IT operations.

We are launching a new Global Business Services center in Kuala Lumpur and are seeking dedicated IT Operations Engineers to ensure continuous monitoring, support, and maintenance of customers’ SD‑WAN solutions and overall IT infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Proactively monitor and support the performance and availability of IT systems, including Windows servers, virtualization platforms, applications, and core infrastructure services. Provide first‑level support and troubleshooting for detected issues.
• Proactively monitor and support network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, SD‑WAN, and wireless solutions. Provide first‑level support and troubleshooting for detected issues.
• Respond to and resolve IT incidents in a timely manner, adhering to established procedures and escalation protocols. Accurately document incidents and resolutions within the incident management system.
• Execute predefined standard service requests and change requests across various SD‑WAN platforms such as Cisco Viptela, Velocloud, RansNet, SilverPeak, and Fortinet.
• Perform daily health checks, log reviews, and system performance monitoring. Ensure all scheduled tasks are completed within agreed service levels.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure issues and coordinate with specialist teams and vendors.
• Participate in maintenance activities and operational improvements.
• Maintain clear communication with internal IT teams, stakeholders, and end‑users. Provide timely updates on incident status and operational activities.
• Follow company policies and regulatory standards to ensure secure and compliant IT operations.

Qualifications

• Graduate from a Bachelor Degree in Information Technology, Networking, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in IT infrastructure operations or technical support (LAN/WAN/Cloud/System).
• Relevant professional certifications in networking, systems, virtualization, cloud, or IT service management (e.g., ITIL, CCNA, CCNP, VMware, or SD‑WAN vendor certifications) are advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills; keen interest in information security and network reliability.
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken, with good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Work schedule: Rotating 12‑hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays (24x7 coverage).
• Rotational shift: 12‑hour shifts alternating between day shift and night shift, each starting at 8:30 am and 8:30 pm. Engineers will work a 2‑days‑on, 2‑days‑off roster.
