Job summary

Huawei Technologies (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd is seeking a technically skilled network & infrastructure professional in Kuala Lumpur. The role focuses on supporting telecommunications and IT networks, AV systems, and data center infrastructure.

You will install, configure, and maintain hardware, software, and networks while managing assets and documentation. Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years in telco/IT, strong communication, and familiarity with Windows/Linux environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or above in a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of telecommunications & engineering experience in telco & IT.
• Experience with meeting equipment, PA or AV products (Smart TV, speakerphone, webcam, mixers, etc.).
• Deep knowledge of OS and hardware (Windows 10/11/Server, Linux, Office, laptops/desktops, server hardware, networking products).
• Basic scripting languages (Python, PowerShell, CMD, etc.).
• Strong communication skills.
• CCNA/HCIA in Routing & Switching or Datacom is a plus.
• Contract position is available.

Responsibilities

• Respond to technical support calls/messages/tickets and communicate resolutions; liaise with vendors for new projects and maintenance.
• Install, configure, maintain, test computer hardware, software, networks, AV equipment and applications.
• Manage hardware/software assets and file/print servers.
• Support events or meetings requiring physical presence on request.
• Resolve problems with LAN/WAN and other systems.
• Oversee network cabling and liaise with external suppliers.
• Create accurate network diagrams and documentation for network design.
• Perform major infrastructure maintenance in data center environments.
• Platform maintenance activities including health checks and troubleshooting.
• Handle ad-hoc tasks assigned by superiors.

Job description

Responsibilities

1. Respond to technical support calls/messages/tickets from other staff members or clients and communicate how to resolve issues, casually have to deal with vendors for new projects and maintenance purposes.
2. Install, configure, maintaining, testing computer hardware, software, networks, meeting room AV equipment and applications.
3. Manage hardware and software assets & Manage file servers and printer servers
4. Supporting events or meetings that requires physical presence under request.
5. Resolve technical problems with Local Area Networks (LAN), Wide Area Networks (WAN), and other systems.
6. Responsible for network cabling including ethernet, optical fiber and so on within the site and liaising with external suppliers as necessary
7. Ability to create accurate network diagrams and documentation for designing and planning network communication systems.
8. Perform major infrastructure maintenance operations, such as upgrade, capacity expansion, and service adjustment in data center environment
9. Platform maintenance activities including routine platform audit, health check and troubleshooting platform issue
10. Ad-hoc tasks that are given by superior and above rankings.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree or above.
2. Min 3 years of telecommunication & engineering experience in telco & IT industry.
3. Experienced with meeting equipment, PA or AV products such as Smart TV, speakerphone, webcam, mixers, portable speakers, wireless microphones and so on.
4. Deep knowledge with OS, software and hardware such as Windows 10/11/Server, Linux, Office products, laptops, desktops, server hardware and networking products
5. Has experience in basic scripting languages such as Python, PowerShell, CMD and others (added advantage)
6. Strong in communication.
7. Possessing professional certificates of CCNA/HCIA in Routing & Switching or Datacom is added advantage.
8. Able to work well in a fast-paced changing and experience working with cross-cultural teams would be desirable.
9. Contract position is available.
