Job summary

HDM CAPITAL SDN BHD is seeking an IT Helpdesk Support specialist to respond to internal users' IT issues and resolve them quickly. You will diagnose hardware and software problems, set up desktops, laptops, printers and peripherals, and perform routine maintenance.

You will document procedures, manage asset inventory, liaise with vendors, assist with new technology deployments, and provide after-hours support when needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in IT or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of helpdesk experience.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Respond to helpdesk calls and emails from internal users and resolve IT issues promptly.
• Perform first-level diagnosis and troubleshooting for hardware and software issues.
• Set up desktops, laptops, printers and other IT peripherals.
• Conduct routine maintenance such as system updates and antivirus checks.
• Manage IT asset inventory, documentation and helpdesk records.
• Document procedures and create user guides.
• Assist with deployment of new technologies and upgrades.
• Liaise with external vendors for repairs or upgrades.
• Provide after-hours standby if required.
