Percetakan Nasional Malaysia Berhad in Kuala Lumpur seeks an IT Network Administrator to implement, monitor, and improve security and infrastructure across the network.
You will configure firewalls, switches, and routers; conduct vulnerability scans; manage VPNs and user access; monitor servers and network performance; and provide IT support while coordinating with vendors for repairs.
Assist in implementing and monitoring compliance with established network security policies and SOPs.
Configure, monitor, and maintain firewalls, switches, and routers to prevent unauthorized access.
Execute scheduled vulnerability scans, assist in tracking findings, and deploy approved security patches.
Implement and maintain secure network access controls, VPNs, and user permissions.
Act as first responder for network/server security alerts; perform initial containment and elevate critical incidents to Team Lead.
Monitor network traffic and investigate suspicious activities using monitoring tools.
Maintain accurate documentation of network diagrams, IP schemes, and system configurations.
Monitor server performance, track resource utilization trends, and assist in routine capacity reporting.
Provide IT support to DIA in networking and data centre functions.
Provide technical support for Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file-sharing services.
Collaborate with vendors and internal IT teams to facilitate hardware repairs and routine servicing.
Support end-users on escalated infrastructure issues and provide periodic operational reports to IT management.
Participate in scheduled weekend maintenance, system patching windows, and rotational on-call support for critical infrastructure incidents.
Job Requirements:Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
3 years of experience in IT network, infrastructure, and system administration. CCNA, CompTIA certificate is preferred.
Good knowledge in :
L2/L3 switch configuration, VLAN tagging, cabling, and Wi-Fi access point deployment.
Routine backup monitoring, patch management execution, and hardware maintenance.
Network and server monitoring tools (e.g., OpManager, SIEM)
