Job summary

Genting Malaysia Berhad is seeking an IT support professional to provide onsite assistance for workstations, hardware and software issues. You will deploy software via WSUS and help maintain antivirus activity while contributing to IT projects.

The role emphasizes process documentation, adherence to policies, and continuous improvement to reduce onsite hours. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply, with opportunities to base at Resorts World Genting, Pahang.

Qualifications

• Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or Diploma with relevant experience.
• Provide onsite workstation, hardware and software support.
• Strong English communication and problem-solving skills.
• Self-motivated, pro-active, able to work with minimal supervision.
• Experience with iPad/Tablet support is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support for IT related issues, including setup and maintenance of PC hardware and software.
• Create and deploy software packages using WSUS and maintain antivirus activity.
• Perform small to medium IT project management and implementation.
• Participate in process documentation and enforce policies.
• Suggest improvements to reduce onsite support hours and monitor SLA.
• Plan waste reduction of IT hardware following company procedures.

Job description

Provide technical support for user regarding IT related issues including setup and maintenance of PC hardware and software

Create and deploy software packages using WSUS and maintain antivirus activity

Perform small to medium scale IT project management and implementation

Participate actively in process documentation as well as policies and procedures enforcement

Provide recommendations and ideas for continuous improvement and enhancement for reducing hours of onsite support

Monitor and ensure service level agreement (SLA) is met

Manage license software and able to track the records without any delay

Plan to reduce waste of IT hardware to follow company procedure as Go Green

Job Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology related fields; or
• Diploma with minimum 2 years of relevant working experience
• Know how to provide onsite support for workstations, hardware and software issues
• Must be positive, hardworking and able to work within tight schedule and meeting deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills with good written and verbal communication in English
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, pro-active, resourceful and able to work independently with minimum supervision
• Able to be teamed up with colleagues to perform IT systems support functions Experience in iPad and Tablet support will be a major added advantage
