Job summary

PALMGOLD MANAGEMENT SDN BHD is seeking an IT Executive to join our IT team and support daily operations across desktop, server, and security tasks. This role provides hands-on experience with enterprise IT systems and network infrastructure in a real estate and diversified investments environment.

You will assist in system administration, cybersecurity monitoring, Active Directory management, firewall oversight, and incident documentation while participating in shift duties to ensure business

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in IT, CS, cybersecurity, or related field.
• Basic knowledge of hardware and Windows OS.
• Basic understanding of networking and cybersecurity fundamentals.
• Strong interest in IT infrastructure and security operations.
• Fresh graduates or candidates with 1 to 5 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level IT support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Assist in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of operating systems and software.
• Support user account setup, password resets, and access requests.
• Assist with IT asset inventory and device tracking.
• Assist in managing Active Directory user accounts and group policies.
• Support creation and maintenance of user accounts, security groups, and access permissions.
• Assist in monitoring domain controller health and system logs.
• Support password policy enforcement and access control management.
• Help document domain policies and access structures.
• Assist in monitoring firewall logs and network traffic alerts.
• Assist in documentation of firewall rules and network access policies.
• Support troubleshooting of network connectivity issues related to firewall policies.
• Assist in monitoring security alerts from EDR / XDR systems.
• Help maintain incident reports and security documentation.
• Assist in server monitoring and system maintenance tasks.
• Support backup monitoring and restoration testing.
• Help maintain IT documentation and operational procedures.
• Assist in system updates and patch management.

Job description

The IT Executive will assist the IT team in daily IT support, system administration, and cybersecurity monitoring. You will gain hands-on experience with enterprise IT systems including Weike System, firewalls, domain controllers, endpoint security platforms, and network infrastructure, PC & Server.

Key Responsibilities

1. IT Support

Provide first-level IT support for desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.

Assist in installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of operating systems and software.

Support user account setup, password resets, and access requests.

Assist with IT asset inventory and device tracking.

Assist in managing Active Directory user accounts and group policies.

Support creation and maintenance of user accounts, security groups, and access permissions.

Assist in monitoring domain controller health and system logs.

3. Firewall & Network Security Support

Assist in monitoring firewall logs and network traffic alerts.

4. Cybersecurity Monitoring & Incident Response

Assist in monitoring security alerts from EDR / XDR systems.

Help maintain incident reports and security documentation.

5. System & Infrastructure Support

Assist in server monitoring and system maintenance tasks.

Support backup monitoring and restoration testing.

Help maintain IT documentation and operational procedures.

Assist in system updates and patch management.

Requirements

Diploma/Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field.

Basic knowledge of computer hardware and Windows OS.

Basic understanding of networking and cybersecurity fundamentals.

Strong interest in IT infrastructure and security operations.

Fresh graduates or candidates with 1 to 5 years of experience.

Working Arrangement

Six (6) working days per week.

Required to participate in rotational shift duties to support business operations.

Shift rotation is scheduled approximately once every 2.5 months and lasts for two (2) consecutive weeks.

May be required to work after office hours, weekends, or public holidays during critical incidents, maintenance activities, or project implementations.
