The IT Executive is responsible for providing operational and technical support across the Company's IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, business applications, and end-user computing environment. The role supports the Head of IT in ensuring the availability, security, and continuous improvement of all technology services while maintaining compliance with regulatory and business requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. IT Operations & User Support
- Provide first and second-level IT support to all employees.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, email, printer, and system-related issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals.
- Manage user accounts, access rights, password resets, and system permissions.
- Maintain IT helpdesk tickets and ensure timely resolution within agreed service levels.
2. Infrastructure & Network Administration
- Assist in the administration and monitoring of servers, network devices, firewalls, switches, wireless networks, NAS storage, and internet connectivity.
- Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity utilization.
- Perform routine maintenance, patch management, and system health checks.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for infrastructure support and maintenance.
3. Cybersecurity & Risk Management
- Support the implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity controls and policies.
- Administer endpoint security solutions, antivirus, EDR, and email security platforms.
- Monitor security alerts and escalate potential incidents to the Head of IT.
- Assist in vulnerability assessments, remediation activities, and security hardening initiatives.
- Support cybersecurity awareness programmes and user education activities.
- Participate in cyber incident response and recovery activities when required.
- Support Microsoft 365 administration, including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, and user management.
- Manage user onboarding, offboarding, and access provisioning.
- Monitor Microsoft 365 security settings and compliance features.
- Assist in troubleshooting cloud-related issues and service integrations.
5. Business Applications Support
- Provide support for insurance broking systems, accounting systems, e-Invoicing platforms, CRM solutions, and other business applications.
- Liaise with software vendors to troubleshoot issues and coordinate system enhancements.
- Conduct system testing, user acceptance testing (UAT), and deployment activities.
- Assist users with system training and application-related enquiries.
6. Backup, Recovery & Business Continuity
- Perform and monitor scheduled backups for servers, applications, and critical business data.
- Conduct periodic backup restoration tests and maintain backup logs.
- Support disaster recovery and business continuity planning activities.
- Ensure recovery procedures are documented and regularly reviewed.
- Maintain accurate inventory records of IT assets, software licenses, and subscriptions.
- Track warranty status, renewals, and support contracts.
- Coordinate procurement, deployment, transfer, and disposal of IT equipment.
- Assist the Head of IT in managing vendor performance and service delivery.
8. Documentation, Compliance & Governance
- Maintain IT policies, procedures, technical documentation, and operational records.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, cybersecurity requirements, and regulatory obligations.
- Support internal and external audits by preparing relevant documentation and evidence.
- Assist in implementing IT governance and risk management initiatives.
9. IT Projects & Continuous Improvement
- Support IT infrastructure upgrades, cloud migration projects, cybersecurity initiatives, and digital transformation programmes.
- Assist in project planning, implementation, testing, and post-implementation support.
- Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, security, and user experience.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of IT.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2-5 years of experience in IT support, infrastructure administration, or cybersecurity operations.
- Experience supporting Microsoft 365, Windows Server, Active Directory, networking, and endpoint security solutions.
- Experience supporting accounting, or insurance-related business systems is an advantage.
- Relevant certifications such as Microsoft, Programming, ITIL, Fortinet, SQL, or cybersecurity certifications are preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of IT infrastructure and cybersecurity fundamentals.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Detail-oriented with good documentation and reporting capabilities.
