- Responsible for the planning, implementation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of the factory’s LAN/WAN network.
- Manage network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, wireless APs, and related equipment.
- Maintain and optimize structured cabling, CCTV surveillance systems, access control systems, and other low-voltage systems.
- Ensure network security by implementing access control policies and appropriate network security measures.
Production Information System Support (MES / WMS)
- Provide daily operation, maintenance, and technical support for Manufacturing Execution System (MES) and Warehouse Management System (WMS).
- Coordinate with the headquarters IT team and system vendors to resolve system issues, data problems, and functional optimization requirements.
- Support production data collection, report generation, and system configuration adjustments.
- Assist with the local deployment, upgrading, implementation, and user training of MES/WMS systems.
Desktop & End-User Support
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot end-user devices such as computers, printers, scanners, and other IT equipment.
- Manage and maintain Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, and commonly used business applications.
- Provide first-line IT technical support and respond promptly to users’ daily IT-related issues.
- Maintain the IT asset register and conduct regular asset inventory checks and updates.
Other IT Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing factory IT management policies, operating procedures, and emergency response plans.
- Support headquarters in information security audits, data backup activities, and disaster recovery drills.
- Perform other IT support tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Experience
- Diploma or above in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant IT operations and maintenance experience. Experience supporting IT operations in a manufacturing or factory environment is preferred.
- Experience in MES/WMS system operation, maintenance, implementation, or support is an advantage.
Technical Skills
- Good knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, with hands‑on experience in configuring and troubleshooting network equipment such as switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Familiar with Windows Server and Active Directory administration.
- Basic understanding of the architecture and operation/maintenance of manufacturing and warehouse information systems such as MES and WMS.
- Experience in structured cabling, CCTV surveillance, access control, and other low-voltage engineering projects.
- Basic knowledge of IT security, including common network security threats and preventive measures.
Language Requirements – Mandatory
- Chinese: Fluent, with the ability to use Chinese as a working language for daily communication and technical documentation.
- English: Good command, with the ability to read technical documentation and communicate through basic emails and verbal communication.
- Malay: Good command, with the ability to communicate in daily situations and coordinate with local suppliers and service providers.
