Job summary

GRAND VENTURE TECHNOLOGY (PENANG) SDN. BHD. seeks an Information Technology Engineer to oversee installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure, servers and enterprise systems.

You will provide end-user support, strengthen cybersecurity measures, collaborate across departments, manage IT assets, document configurations, and monitor IT performance to drive continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in IT, CS or related field is required.
• Proven working experience in IT support, network or system administration.
• Knowledge of network infrastructure, server administration, troubleshooting and cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of network infrastructure, servers and enterprise systems.
• Provide technical support to end-users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network and system issues.
• Implement and strengthen cybersecurity measures and compliance practices, while supporting risk management and vulnerability mitigation.
• Collaborate with departments and infrastructure teams to understand IT requirements and deliver effective solutions.
• Manage IT assets, including hardware, software licenses and inventory, with accurate records and policy compliance.
• Maintain IT documentation, including configurations, network records and security procedures.
• Monitor IT performance and emerging technologies; recommend improvements to IT operations, infrastructure and security.

Job description

Oversee the installation, configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure, servers, and enterprise systems to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and minimal downtime.

Provide technical support to end-users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, network, and system-related issues in a timely manner.

Implement and strengthen cybersecurity measures and compliance practices, while supporting cybersecurity risk management and vulnerability mitigation activities.

Collaborate with different departments and infrastructure teams to understand IT requirements, support IT projects, and deliver effective technical solutions.

Manage IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and equipment inventory, ensuring accurate records and compliance with asset management policies.

Maintain accurate IT documentation, including system configurations, network records, security procedures, and maintenance activities, to improve accountability and coordination.

Monitor IT performance, keep up with emerging technologies and industry best practices, and recommend continuous improvements to enhance IT operations, infrastructure, and security.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Proven working experience in IT support, network administration, system administration, or a similar IT-related role.

Good knowledge of network infrastructure, server administration, hardware and software troubleshooting, and cybersecurity principles.

Familiarity with cybersecurity compliance, IT risk management, and IT documentation practices.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively across different departments.
