Job summary

HFG Insurance Recruitment is seeking a Manager / Assistant Manager, Investment Operations in Kuala Lumpur. You will oversee end-to-end trade lifecycle activities, including processing, settlement, collateral management, and reconciliations, while reviewing portfolio reconciliations across custodians and internal systems.

You will lead and coach a team, support daily operations and month-end close, and handle derivatives, cash funding, and ISDA/CSA agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
• 6–8 years of experience in investment operations, middle office, trade processing, or collateral management.
• Strong knowledge of financial products and investment operations processes.
• Working knowledge of ISDA and CSA documentation and collateral management.
• Advanced proficiency in Bloomberg AIM.
• Experience with investment accounting or portfolio systems (e.g., PAM, FAM, Portia, Clearwater) is an advantage.
• Strong communication skills with written and spoken English; Chinese or Cantonese is a plus.
• Proven ability to work independently, collaborate with teams, and guide junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end trade lifecycle activities, including processing, settlement, corporate actions, cash and position management, collateral management, and reconciliations.
• Review and guide investment portfolio reconciliations across custodians, asset managers, and internal systems for accuracy.
• Support daily operations and month-end closing for smooth delivery.
• Perform and review derivative and alternative asset transactions, including trade confirmations and collateral margining.
• Support cash and currency funding activities to meet investment requirements.
• Assist in establishing and managing ISDA and CSA agreements and ongoing collateral processes.
• Act as escalation point for operational issues and coordinate resolutions with stakeholders.
• Support audits, regulatory and KYC requests from banks and custodians.
• Contribute to operational projects, system enhancements, and process improvements.
• Guide, review and coach junior team members to ensure high-quality output and development.
