Job summary

AIA Shared Services in Malaysia is seeking a capable Operations professional to support derivative lifecycle across front-to-back processes, including FX, OTC derivatives, bonds, and collateral management.

The role requires solid treasury or investment operations experience, strong control mindset, and ability to coordinate with Front Office, Risk, and Finance while engaging external counterparties.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in Treasury or Investment Operations.
• Strong front-to-back process and trade lifecycle knowledge, with exposure to derivatives preferred.
• Demonstrated strong control mindset, able to identify gaps, prioritize issues and mitigate operational risks.
• Proven problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, internally and externally.
• Flexible team player with cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience in project management and driving process improvements is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage collateral operations, including margin call processing, dispute resolution, and portfolio investigation.
• Perform daily position reconciliations, identify discrepancies, and conduct root cause analysis.
• Investigate and resolve trade breaks, MTM, and P&L discrepancies raised by local business units.
• Handle corporate actions, including coupon claims processing and follow-ups.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors, ensuring timely closure of audit queries and implementation of corrective actions.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Front Office, Risk, Finance) and external counterparties to ensure smooth operations.
