Job description

Jora Malaysia will close on 9th September 2026. Thank you for being with us, we are cheering you on as you continue your career journey.

48 outlets. Thousands of SKUs. One person who makes sure the numbers are true.

At SSF, inventory accuracy is not a back-office statistic. It is the difference between a full shelf and a lost sale, between a clean set of books and a write-off nobody saw coming.

We are hiring an Inventory Manager to own that number across our retail network and warehouses - and to build the controls that keep it honest.

This is not a stock-counting role. It is an investigative one. You will be the person who asks why a variance happened, where the control broke, and what stops it from happening again.

What you'll own
  • Inventory accuracy across all outlets and warehouses - the number itself, and the trust management places in it.
  • Cycle counts, full stock takes and verification exercises. You plan them, you run them, you stand behind the results.
  • Variance investigation - tracing unusual movements and recurring discrepancies back to root cause, not just flagging them.
  • Control design - closing the gaps you uncover, and ensuring every inventory adjustment is properly supported, authorised and documented.
  • On-site checks at outlets when the data does not add up and someone needs to go and look.
  • Clear, straight-talking accuracy, variance and exception reporting to management.
  • Working shoulder to shoulder with Retail Operations, Warehouse and Finance to close issues for good - not just log them.
What you'll need
  • 5+ years in inventory control, inventory management or stock audit.
  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Strong Excel skills and genuine comfort with large data sets; hands-on experience with an ERP or inventory management system.
  • The instinct to question a number that looks wrong - and the diplomacy to chase it across departments until it is resolved.
  • Willingness to travel to retail outlets occasionally for verification and investigation work.
What will set you apart
  • Supervisory or managerial experience.
  • A background in retail, multi-outlet operations or high-SKU environments.
  • Use of AI tools, automation or data analytics to speed up analysis, surface abnormalities or automate reporting. If you have built something that made inventory work faster or sharper, tell us about it - we will read that part closely.
What we offer
  • A competitive monthly salary of RM5,500 - RM7,000, based on your experience.
  • Travel and petrol allowance for outlet visits and investigation work.
  • A staff purchase discount across all 48 SSF outlets.
  • A role with real authority - you own the controls, and management acts on what you find.
