Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an experienced Inventory Lead to manage stock accuracy, near-expiry items, and daily disposal in a fast-paced FMCG setting. You will oversee receiving, put-away, counting, variance investigation, and coordination with procurement, sales, and logistics to minimize stockouts and optimize warehouse operations.

Strong Excel and WMS knowledge required. Applicants should be detail-oriented, able to lead warehouse staff, and willing to work outside regular hours to support

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in warehouse, inventory control, stock management or related operations.
  • Experience in inventory management, stock count, stock reconciliation and warehouse operations.
  • Familiar with receiving, put-away, picking, stock transfer, returns and inventory control procedures.
  • Experience handling chilled and frozen products is an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Be alert on warehouse stock activities including receiving, picking, storage, near expiry stock, disposal, and stock counts.
  • Ensure policies, procedures and SOPs are understood and implemented.
  • Collaborate with Procurement, Sales, Event & Marketing, Auditors and department heads.
  • Highlight inventory constraints, reduce stockouts and overstocking, and improve management.
  • Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of stock in pallets, racks, floors, and cold rooms.
  • Perform weekly stock counts and reconcile variances.
  • Investigate variances and root causes in daily operations.
  • Coordinate 3rd party storage inventories and transfers to avoid stock-outs.
  • Oversee inter-warehouse transfers and returns.
  • Plan unloading of inbound goods and label expiry dates for proper put-away.
  • Oversee receiving, put-away, bin location and picking rules.
  • Work with Purchasing, Sales and Logistics on constraints and priorities.
  • Establish KPI and drive corrective actions for picking errors and damages.
  • Implement basic Warehouse Management System features such as barcode labelling and workflow management.
  • Maintain warehouse safety and 5S housekeeping.

Job Summary

To lead inventory management function in a fast-paced environment and ensure high accuracy of inventory transactions, manage near expired stock and ensure sales returns and stock disposal are recorded and disposed accordingly daily.

Job Description
  • 1. Be alert and accountable on warehouse stock activities which include receiving, picking, 3rd party storage stock level, storage policy, near expired stock, disposal, customers returns, weekly cyclical stock count and stock take audits.

  • 2. Ensure management policies, procedures and SOP are understood and implemented.

  • 3. Work and liaise with all level of management which include procurement, sales, event & marketing, auditors, departmental heads.

  • 4. Highlight and collaborate with other departments on inventory levels, reduce stockouts and overstocking, improve overall inventory management

  • 5. Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of stock arrangement in pallets, rack, floor, chill room, frozen rooms

  • 6. Perform weekly cyclical stock count to ensure system and physical match and perform reconciliation as necessary

  • 7. Investigate variances and root-cause issue in daily operation

  • 8. Ensure 3rd party storage warehouse inventory is accurate and perform warehouse transfer as necessary to ensure no stock-out during picking or customer orders

  • 9. Coordinate inter-warehouse transfers and returns

  • 10. Plan and execute proper unloading of inbound and ensure product and expiry date is printed for labelling into pallet and put away into racking as assigned in the location

  • 11. Oversee receiving, put-away, bin location and picking rules

  • 12. Collaborate with Purchasing, Sales and Logistics on constraints and priorities

  • 13. Establish KPI and drive corrective actions like picking errors, handling and storage damages, near expired stock

  • 14. Implement basic Warehouse Management System like barcode labelling, near expiry period, work-flow management, storage space

  • 15. Awareness in warehouse safety and 5S housekeeping

Job Requirement
  • Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in warehouse, inventory control, stock management or related operations.

  • Experience in inventory management, stock count, stock reconciliation and warehouse operations.

  • Familiar with receiving, put-away, picking, stock transfer, returns and inventory control procedures.

  • Experience handling chilled and frozen products will be an added advantage.

  • Basic knowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS), barcode system and inventory management software.

  • Good understanding of FIFO / FEFO and expiry-date management.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to investigate stock variances and identify root causes.

  • Good communication and coordination skills to work with Sales, Purchasing, Logistics, Finance and other departments.

  • Able to lead and monitor warehouse staff and ensure SOPs, safety and 5S housekeeping standards are followed.

  • Computer literate, particularly Microsoft Excel and inventory/warehouse systems.

  • Able to work independently, be detail-oriented and take ownership of warehouse and inventory accuracy.

  • Willing to work in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

  • Willing to work beyond normal working hours when required to support operational needs

Working Hour

Monday to Friday: 8:00am to 5:00pm

Saturday: 8:00am to 1:00pm
