Job summary

Bright Prospect is seeking an organized Inventory Control Specialist to uphold stock accuracy across warehouse locations in Malaysia. You will monitor transactions in WMS/ERP, reconcile discrepancies, track movements, and support audits. The role emphasizes cycle counts, reports, data analysis, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

Bachelor's or Diploma in Logistics preferred; 2-3 years in inventory control; strong Excel skills and stakeholder communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business or related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years of inventory control experience in warehouse, logistics, or distribution.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and ERP systems preferred.
• Strong inventory management and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting.
• Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control processes.
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain inventory accuracy across all warehouse locations.
• Process inventory transactions in the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
• Reconcile physical stock against system records and resolve discrepancies.
• Track inventory movements including receiving, put-away, transfers, returns, and dispatch.
• Ensure compliance with customer inventory requirements and SLAs.
• Conduct daily cycle counts and periodic stock takes.
• Investigate variances and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor stock aging, shelf-life, and inventory status where applicable.
• Prepare inventory adjustment documentation and obtain approvals.
• Support customer and internal inventory audits.
• Generate inventory reports and KPIs on stock accuracy, discrepancies, and trends.
• Analyze inventory issues and identify opportunities for process improvement.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports for management and customers.
• Work closely with warehouse supervisors and operations teams to ensure accuracy.
• Coordinate inventory activities during inbound, outbound, and value-added operations.
• Support system implementations, customer onboarding, and inventory migrations.
• Ensure inventory processes comply with SOPs and customer requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation and inventory records.
• Participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inventory control processes.
• Support digitalization and automation initiatives within warehouse operations.
