NSK Grocer in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Inventory Controller with 1–3 years of experience in inventory control, MIS, data analysis or retail operations to join our team.
You will prepare daily to monthly reports, maintain data accuracy across systems, monitor stock movements, and support cycle counts. Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems is preferred, with strong analytical and communication skills.

Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and ad hoc inventory reports for management review.
Maintain accurate inventory data across all systems and branches.
Monitor inventory movements, stock variances, and discrepancies.
Develop and maintain inventory dashboards and reports to support business decisions.
Analyze inventory trends, stock turnover, inventory ageing, and replenishment performance.
Identify slow-moving, excess, obsolete, or at-risk inventory and recommend corrective actions.
Monitor inventory KPIs, including stock accuracy, stock variance, inventory ageing, stock turnover, and shrinkage.
Support cycle counts, stock takes, and variance investigations, and follow up on corrective actions.
Ensure timely and accurate maintenance of inventory master data and system records.
Verify data integrity and coordinate data corrections where necessary.
Work closely with Operations, Warehouse, and Procurement teams to ensure inventory accuracy.
Assist in improving inventory reporting, dashboards, and process automation to enhance operational efficiency.
Support system testing, enhancements, and implementation of inventory-related processes when required.
Liaise with Branch Operations, Procurement, Finance, and Warehouse teams on inventory-related matters.
Support internal and external audit requirements by preparing inventory reports and documentation.
Ensure compliance with inventory SOPs, stock control procedures, and reporting standards.
Participate in continuous process improvement initiatives to strengthen inventory control and reporting efficiency.
1. Inventory Reporting & MIS

4. Cross-Functional Coordination & Compliance

Diploma or Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Accounting, Information Systems, or a related field.
1–3 years of experience in Inventory Control, MIS, Data Analysis, or Retail Operations (FMCG/Grocery industry experience is preferred).
Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, SUMIFS, IF functions, and data analysis.
Experience with ERP or inventory management systems is an added advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and numerical skills.
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and data integrity.
Able to manage multiple priorities and meet reporting deadlines in a fast-paced retail environment.
Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across departments.
