Conduct regular inventory audits, stock counts and cycle count at warehouses, stores and other locations.
Verify physical stock against system records and investigate discrepancies, shortages, excesses and variances.
Review inventory movements including goods receiving, transfers, returns, sales, adjustments and stock write-offs.
Identify inventory control weaknesses, operational risks and potential irregularities.
Prepare detailed inventory audit reports with findings, root causes and recommendations.
Follow up with warehouse, retail, purchasing, logistics and finance teams on audit findings and corrective actions.
Monitor compliance with company inventory SOPs, stock control procedures and internal policies.
Conduct surprise stock checks and spot audits when required.
Review slow-moving, obsolete, damaged and ageing inventory.
Assist in developing and improving inventory control procedures, SOPs and internal control systems.
Analyze inventory data and identify unusual transactions, recurring discrepancies or potential loss areas.
Work closely with management to improve stock accuracy, inventory accountability and loss prevention.
Maintain proper audit documentation, supporting records and evidence.
Participate in investigations involving inventory discrepancies, suspected misuse, stock loss or procedural violations.
Perform other audit and inventory-related duties assigned by management.

Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Internal Audit, Supply Chain, Inventory Management or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in inventory audit, internal audit, stock control, warehouse operations or retail inventory management.
- Strong understanding of inventory control, stock reconciliation and audit procedures.
- Experience conducting physical stock counts and investigating inventory variances.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and inventory/ERP systems.
- Able to analyse data and identify discrepancies or unusual transactions.
- Independent, systematic, firm and willing to challenge irregularities when necessary.
- Good communication and report-writing skills.
- Willing to travel to company warehouses and retail outlets when required.
- Candidates with retail, distribution, FMCG or multi-location inventory audit experience will have an added advantage.
