Job summary

MKA Cabinet & Design in Malaysia is seeking a Mandarin-speaking interior design professional with a diploma or degree in interior design or architecture and a minimum of three years’ experience in the interior design industry.

Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, 3D software and rendering is required, with COOHOM knowledge considered an advantage; cabinetry/renovation experience is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Improve customer’s experience and stimulate sales of full house ID if necessary.

• Collaborate with sales support personnel to offer exceptional customer service.
• Be main contact for guests from collection of retainer to sale closure.
• Provide design & creative solutions assistance to guest needs at store.
• Schedule initial customer site visit and coordinate with responsible sales designer.
• Execute full design process from initial sketch through start of production.

Job Descriptions and Job Responsibilities

Improve customer’s experience and stimulate sales of full house ID if necessary.

Provide courteous and interactive support to customers by offering full house ID designs according to their requirements.

Assist sales designer of the site supervision, site marking and measurement if needed.

Collaborate with sales support personnel to offer exceptional customer service.

Perform as main contact for guest from collection of retainer to sale closure.

Utilizing guest and selling tools as required.

Provide design & creative solutions assistance to guest needs at store.

Creative solutions and design to meet or exceed guest’s needs.

Interact with guests to know about their needs, requirements and budgetary limits.

Present products to customers suitable to attain their objectives.

Schedule initial customer site visit as well as coordinate with responsible sales designer.

Establish detailed project budget working with customer and PBM.

Weekly reporting to work in progress to the Sales Manager.

Performs other related or ad-hoc duties as assigned by management team, or superior or requested by customer.

Execute full design process, from initial sketch through start of production.

Utilize your experience with all phases of Interior Design project deliverables from Concept Design through Construction Administration to realize a successful design concept.

Work independently or with minor oversight to perform assignments including, conceptual design, schematic design, design development, space planning and construction documentation.

Produce mood, material and design presentations independently or with minimal supervision.

Participate in internal and consultant meetings.

Be wildly creative and push the boundaries.

Provide leadership skills and team management with a desire to mentor and junior staff.

Assists in marketing efforts and Request For Proposal responses.
