Job summary

Chubb External is seeking a Business Development Manager in Malaysia (Sarawak) to lead growth through brokers, agents and distribution partners. You will focus on Small Commercial, Middle Market and Consumer Lines, managing agency relationships and driving new client acquisition.

You will work with underwriting and field teams to price strategies, monitor KPIs, and ensure compliant operations while expanding market presence and revenue.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in calling on insurance brokers and agents.
• Strong relationship management and communication skills.
• Knowledge of Small Commercial, Middle Market, and Consumer Lines preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops tactical sales plans to achieve annual objectives and grow market share.
• Generates opportunities to acquire new business through brokers and agents.
• Builds relationships with key partnerships regionally to aid business development.
• Meets monthly, quarterly, and annual production goals.
• Collaborates with underwriting and field operations to price and propose strategies.
• Manages and nurtures pipeline of key customers to drive growth.
• Acts as primary contact and relationship manager for assigned producers.
• Ensures adherence to Insurance Act 1996 and regulatory guidelines.
