Amalan Setar (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive Inspector of Works to monitor quality, workmanship and progress across development projects including landed residential and high-rise sites. The role involves supervising daily activities, verifying drawings and progress, and ensuring compliance with specifications and QC standards.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Inspector of Works (IOW) to monitor construction quality, workmanship, and project progress across our development projects. Candidates with experience in landed residential and high-rise developments are encouraged to apply.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Supervise daily construction activities and ensure all works carried out and materials used are strictly in accordance with specifications and required standards.

Prepare and update daily reports, verify progress reports.

Monitor and control the construction progress of the project

Check all construction drawings, specifications (i.e.: building, infrastructure and SNP drawings) and method statement.

Perform QC in accordance with policies and ensure work is completed to the required quality standard.

Attend the inspection and testing carried out by the contractor and document all the reports.

Issue NCR to contractor for works not complying to required Quality Standard.

Identify any discrepancies in drawings and highlight them to the consultant.

Attend site meeting.

Verify progress claim with QS Department.

Ensure all materials delivered to site conform to the approved specification.

Execute instructions given by superior and consultant.

Follow up and monitoring of DLP stage

Liaise with purchaser for identification of defects during DLP stage.

Familiarity with QLASSIC (Quality Assessment System in Construction) standards and assessment procedures will be an added advantage.
