Job summary
Businesslist is looking for an Infrastructure Resident Engineer in Johor. This role supports Data Centre operations, troubleshooting server, network, and software issues, and maintaining production server hardware. An immediate joiner is required, ideally with experience in a 24/7 environment.
The successful candidate should have strong skills in Linux and effective communication in English. The contract lasts for 6 months, with a salary of RM8000 – RM10,000.
Qualifications
- Good knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux operating systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in servers, storage, networking, and software applications.
- Experience working in a Data Centre environment is an advantage.

- Support Data Centre operations in a 24/7/365 environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve server, network, storage, and software application issues.
- Monitor, maintain, and support production server hardware and software.
- Assist with server operating system upgrades, patching, and bug fixes.
- Perform rack, stack, cabling, installation, and decommissioning activities within the Data Centre.

Working Hours: 9-Hour Rotational Shift (Day & Night)
Immediate joiner required (No interview but we need skillful and fluent in English communication)
- Support Data Centre operations in a 24/7/365 environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve server, network, storage, and software application issues.
- Monitor, maintain, and support production server hardware and software.
- Assist with server operating system upgrades, patching, and bug fixes.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues and basic switch-related problems.
- Perform rack, stack, cabling, installation, and decommissioning activities within the Data Centre.
- Participate in on-call support and shift rotation schedules.
- Good knowledge and hands‑on experience with Linux operating systems.
- Strong troubleshooting skills in servers, storage, networking, and software applications.
- Experience working in a Data Centre environment is an advantage.
- Knowledge of Data Centre cabling and infrastructure is preferred.
- Physically fit and able to lift, carry, and install server equipment weighing up to 20kg.
- Able to speak and write in English fluently
