Jora Malaysia seeks an Overseas Infrastructure Project Delivery Expert (Based JB) to lead local construction of data center projects, including new builds, expansions, and renovations, with on-site management across sites in Johor Bahru.
You will coordinate civil works, MEP installations, and cable/equipment deployments, supervise vendors, and ensure delivery on time and to quality standards, with potential overseas travel as needed.

1) Act as the local infrastructure project manager, responsible for the construction portion of data center new builds, expansions, and for basic renovation or decommissioning projects, including on‑site management.
2) Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supervising civil works progress, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) installation progress, and MEP testing progress of data center vendors; monitoring logistics progress from the general contractor; coordinating on‑site delivery, installation of cable trays/racks/aisle containment, and managing construction inside data hall modules; ensuring quality control and acceptance handover to meet delivery timelines and quality requirements.
3) Based on the local jurisdiction, responsible for all new build, expansion, renovation, and decommissioning infrastructure project construction management in the region. Standard working hours are 5×8, with work conducted at various sites for effective construction management, schedule, and quality control. Depending on project needs, overseas travel may be required, following corporate travel policies.
4) End‑to‑end responsibility for local infrastructure project delivery, including regular meetings with vendors and general contractor teams to monitor progress, identify risks, implement mitigation measures, resolve issues during the project lifecycle, and ensure project delivery according to original timelines.
1) Bachelor’s degree or above in Core Engineering Disciplines, Industry‑Specific Engineering, Management & Systems or related disciplines.
2) Minimum 5 years of working experience, including in data center construction or building construction; cloud data center experience preferred
3) Project management experience; PMP or equivalent certification preferred. Background in MEP, familiar with engineering management, electrical, and HVAC fields preferred.
4) Strong communication and problem‑solving skills. Team spirit, mutual support and assistance. Project management experience; PMP or equivalent certification preferred.
5) Fluent in bilingual communication capabilities; proficiency in local language for work communication is a plus.
