Job summary

DHL Asia Pacific Shared Services Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking an Industrial Engineer to optimize warehouse operations, analyze workflows, and lead Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen projects. You will design layouts to improve space and material flow and drive continuous improvement across the facility.

The role requires 2–5 years in industrial engineering or warehouse/logistics, with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and WMS. Experience with 3PL or distribution center operations is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in a relevant engineering or SCM field.
• Experience in industrial engineering or warehouse/logistics roles preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and continuous improvement.
• Proficiency with Excel, Power BI and data analysis tools.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).

Responsibilities

• Analyze warehouse workflows and identify opportunities to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Conduct process mapping, root cause analysis, and time-motion studies to optimize processes.
• Lead continuous improvement projects using Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen and other methodologies.
• Design and optimize warehouse layouts to improve space utilization and material flow.
• Perform slotting analysis and storage optimization initiatives.
• Evaluate warehouse capacity and recommend expansion or reconfiguration plans.
• Lead or support warehouse optimization, automation and excellence projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• 2-5 years of experience in Industrial Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain, or Warehouse Operations.
• Experience in 3PL logistics or distribution center operations is preferred.
• Proven track record in process improvement and productivity enhancement initiatives.
• Strong understanding of warehouse operations and supply chain processes.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, and data analysis tools.
• Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
