Job summary

Beckhoff Malaysia is expanding and inviting qualified engineers to join our team. The role will support the Country Customer Service Manager with admin tasks, provide technical information, and prepare solution proposals and quotations to meet customer requirements.

You will troubleshoot field inquiries, monitor cases, collaborate with product management, and deliver trainings on Beckhoff solutions in a fast-paced, international environment in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Industrial Automation / Mechatronics / Electronics & Electrical Engineering or IT.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Customer- and service-oriented thinking and working method.
• Ability to work in a team and possess strong communication skills.
• Strong analytical and reasoning skills to collaborate in a fast-paced, action-oriented team.
• Understanding of PLCs, motion controllers, robotics, distributed I/O, EtherCAT and HMI technologies.
• Knowledge of PC-technology, fieldbus systems, software development and PLC programming.
• Knowledge of IEC 61131-3 programming languages is a plus.
• Knowledge of object-oriented extensions, C#, C++, etc. Python; objective C-programming knowledge is a plus.
• Knowledge of electrical schematics is a plus.
• Ability to work in a high stress environment while maintaining professionalism.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present to customers, companywide, and / or departmental meetings in English.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, multi-task, and work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• assist the Country Customer Service Manager in departmental administration tasks
• provide product, service, or equipment technical and engineering information when necessary
• prepare and present solution proposals and quotations according to customer requirements
• provide support to customers and perform troubleshooting on field inquiries to ensure optimal levels of customer satisfaction and customer service
• monitor all assigned cases for customer support and update activities on company tracking system
• manage customer issues and if required, elevate it to required departments
• develop and disseminate product technical user documentation
• Handling of technical questions in cooperation with product management and development
• offering standard and custom trainings to support Beckhoff products and customer solutions
