Job summary

JAC Recruitment International in Bayan Lepas, Penang seeks a Technical Sales Engineer to grow the business across semiconductor, electronics, and manufacturing sectors. You will build relationships, provide technical consultation, and support customers from presentations to after-sales service.

The role requires a engineering degree, 1+ year in related sales/engineering roles, and willingness to travel within Malaysia and abroad. Knowledge of automation and electrical components is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• At least 1 year in technical sales, sales engineering or application engineering.
• Experience in semiconductor, automation, or electronics industries preferred.
• Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to customers.
• Customer-oriented with proactive attitude.
• Knowledge of mechanical engineering, automation, or software products is a plus.
• Ability to manage multiple customer accounts independently.
• Japanese language skills are a plus.
• Willingness to travel domestically and overseas.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers and stakeholders.
• Identify and secure new business opportunities and project-based sales.
• Provide technical consultation, product recommendations and support.
• Conduct product presentations and technical demonstrations.
• Handle quotations, orders and project follow-ups through to delivery.
• Collaborate with engineering, product and sales teams across Japan, Singapore and Thailand.
• Coordinate maintenance and after-sales support when required.
• Monitor customer needs, market trends and competitor activity.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction with timely, professional support.
