Job summary

Mission Consultancy Services in Malaysia is seeking a technically proficient Sales & Application Engineer to promote and support industrial instrumentation, mechanical products, equipment, and systems. You will identify customer requirements, propose solutions, prepare quotations, conduct product demonstrations, and provide technical assistance throughout the sales cycle.

The role blends engineering know-how with strong business acumen and requires travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• 2 to 5 years of experience in technical sales, industrial sales, or application engineering.
• Established sales networks within the industrial market are encouraged.
• Experience in industrial instrumentation, mechanical products, or automation is an advantage.
• Fresh graduates who are technically inclined are welcome.
• Sound understanding of engineering principles and the ability to interpret technical specifications.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites as required.
• Possession of a valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to ascertain technical requirements and propose solutions.
• Prepare quotations and technical proposals based on specifications.
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, product demonstrations, and training.
• Liaise with suppliers and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
• Follow up quotations and opportunities to secure sales.
• Identify new business opportunities and maintain relationships with existing customers.
• Monitor market trends and report opportunities and competitive activity.
• Maintain records of customer interactions, quotations, and project opportunities.
