Job summary

Schmidt BioMedTech Sdn Bhd is seeking a Shipment Handle specialist to manage documentation, invoicing, and cost capture for import/export. You will ensure SOP alignment with customer and company standards, liaise with customs, agents, and authorities, and support Sales in quoting and follow‑ups.

You'll handle permit declarations, collaborate with airlines and customers, and assist Sales and Finance across export/import processes, including port clearance and document preparation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in freight forwarding.
• Exposure to Air Import, Air Export and Sea Freight is an advantage.
• Knowledge of permit declaration procedures.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills; able to work independently.
• Familiar with declaration systems listed in requirements.

Job description

Handle Shipment – process documentation, manifest, invoices, cost capturing

Ensures SOP alignment to customer expectations and company's agreed standards of performance.

Attending to Customs, Agents and Government Authorities enquires

Support Sales Department in quoting, liaising, and following up.

Handling of permit declaration and liaison with airlines and customers.

Operations to assist and work closely with the Sales and Finance.

Assist in export and import documentation and submission of statutory requirements and port clearance

Prepare Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, and other relevant shipping documents for import and export shipments.

Coordinate end-to-end export shipments via air and sea freight.

Ensure all export permits and licences are obtained where required.

Requirements:

Minimum 2 years of relevant experience, preferably in the freight forwarding industry; exposure to both Air and Sea Freight is an advantage.

Familiar with Air Import, Air Export and Sea Freight operational processes.

Knowledge of permit declaration procedures is an added advantage.

Strong teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to perform duties independently with minimal supervision.

Knowledge in use of declaration systems is valued: U-customs, Dagangnet (ALDEC similar to Mycargo2u), eDCFZ system, PKFZ Integrated Management System (PIMS), Phyto system, Miti COA (Dagangnet e-permit system), Maqis

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
