Job summary

Tri-Mode System (M) Berhad invites applications for an Import Forwarding Documentation Clerk. You will prepare import documents, coordinate with customers, carriers, and regulators, and ensure timely and compliant shipment processing.

Qualifications

• SPM or above required.
• 1 year sales experience is preferred but not mandatory.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply with potential for growth.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, check, and process import shipping documents such as invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, permits, and customs declarations.
• Coordinate with customers, shipping lines, freight forwarders, customs agents, and internal departments to ensure smooth shipment operations.
• Monitor shipment schedules and update customers on cargo status, delivery timelines, and delays.
• Ensure documentation complies with customs regulations and company procedures.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, documentation, and correspondence.
• Arrange bookings with carriers and confirm shipping details.
• Verify freight charges and related invoices.
• Support customs clearance processes and liaise with authorities when required.
• Prepare reports and provide administrative support for import/export operations.
• Ensure timely submission of documents to customers, banks, and government agencies.
• Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to coordinate cargo movement.
