Job summary

Infinity Networks Security Sdn Bhd is seeking an ICT Network Engineer in Malaysia to plan, pre-stage, configure, and deploy Routers, Switches, APs, and CCTV systems. You will analyze Wi‑Fi coverage and produce heatmaps using Ekahau, and provide post‑project support, log analysis, and troubleshooting. Travel for on-site deployments is expected.

You will document projects with MS Office and Visio, maintain excellent communication, and stay current with network technologies and security practices.

Qualifications

• Strong foundational knowledge of IP design, static routing, routing tables, VLANs, IGMP Snooping, and STP.
• Familiarity with Wi-Fi channel planning, AP placement, and enterprise brands.
• Excellent communication skills and independent problem-solving mindset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
• Basic understanding of network vulnerabilities and firewall brands.

Responsibilities

Job description

ICT Network Engineer role supporting the planning, pre-staging, configuration, and deployment of Routers, Switches, Access Points, and CCTV systems. The position involves wireless optimization, post-project support, troubleshooting, and technical documentation.

Key responsibilities

Support the planning, pre-staging, configuration, and deployment of Routers, Switches, Access Points, and CCTV systems

Perform Wi-Fi coverage analysis and generate professional heatmaps using Ekahau or similar tools.

Provide post-project support, log analysis, deep-dive troubleshooting, and customer service support via WhatsApp

Prepare clean, detailed project documentation following company standards using Microsoft Office and Visio

About you

Strong foundational knowledge of IP design, static routing, routing tables, VLANs, IGMP Snooping, and Spanning Tree Protocol (STP)

Familiarity with Wi-Fi channel planning, AP placement, and optimization across enterprise brands (e.g., Omada, Ruijie, Ruckus, Aruba, Cisco)

Excellent communication skills, an independent problem-solver mindset, and the ability to research technical issues via online forums and resources

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio

Basic understanding of network vulnerabilities and familiarity with firewall brands (Fortinet/Fortigate, Sangfor, Sophos)

Hands-on experience with CCTV, Door Access Systems, IPTV, Zabbix or Ekahau software

Own transport and willingness to travel for on-site or outstation deployment
