Job summary

Accenture Southeast Asia in Cyberjaya is seeking a Network Infrastructure Engineer at SME level to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-scale networks, with emphasis on reliability, security, and performance.

You will work with cloud, data center, and security teams, mentor engineers, and guide clients through complex network challenges in a 24/7 shift environment at client locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 8+ years of network engineering experience at SME level.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS, VLANs, QoS.
• Experience with Cisco/Juniper/Palo Alto/Fortinet platforms.
• Cloud networking experience (AWS/Azure/GCP) and automation tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and architect network infrastructure strategies.
• Architect LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and cloud networks.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and load balancers.
• Monitor performance, troubleshoot, and optimize networks.

Project Role Description

The Network Infrastructure Engineer / SME is responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing enterprise-level network systems. This role requires deep technical expertise in networking technologies, infrastructure architecture, and security best practices. The SME will act as a trusted advisor to client, providing guidance on complex network challenges and ensuring high availability, scalability, and performance of IT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design & Architecture
• Develop and implement network infrastructure strategies aligned with business goals.
• Architect LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, and cloud networking solutions.
• Ensure scalability, redundancy, and disaster recovery capabilities.
• Implementation & Operations
• Configure and deploy routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and VPNs.
• Manage network monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Oversee upgrades, migrations, and integration of new technologies.
• Security & Compliance
• Implement network security policies, firewalls, IDS/IPS, and access controls.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO, NIST, GDPR, HIPAA, etc.).
• Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability management.
• Subject Matter Expertise
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams.
• Serve as the escalation point for complex network issues.
• Advise stakeholders on emerging technologies and best practices.
• Collaboration & Documentation
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (cloud, systems, DevOps, security).
• Document network designs, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Support audits, capacity planning, and strategic IT initiatives.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (Master’s preferred).

• Network monitoring tools (SolarWinds, Nagios, Splunk)
• Relevant certifications:
• CCNP/CCIE, JNCIE, CISSP, AWS/Azure Networking Specialty
