Job summary

Woh Hup Group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an HR Business Partner to align people strategies with business objectives. You will act as a trusted advisor to management on HR matters and support a high-performing, engaged workforce across the group.

You will partner with leaders to address workforce needs, drive recruitment and development, manage employee relations and ensure policy compliance while supporting change and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in HR/Business Admin or related field.
• 3+ years of progressive HR experience, preferably in HRBP or HR Generalist roles.
• Experience in a multinational corporation (MNC) environment is an advantage.
• Comfortable working in a matrix organisation and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to translate strategies into HR initiatives.
• Build relationships with leaders and employees, providing strategic and operational HR support across the lifecycle.
• Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations, performance management, talent development, workforce planning and organisational effectiveness.
• Develop a strong talent pipeline by driving recruitment, onboarding, succession planning and leadership development initiatives.
• Coordinate and facilitate HR processes including performance management, talent reviews, salary review exercises and leadership assessments.
• Ensure consistent implementation of HR policies and initiatives across business units.
• Support organisational changes by providing change management guidance and coaching to leaders and employees.
• Coach managers on leadership, employee engagement, performance management and people-related matters.
• Partner with the wider HR team to ensure timely delivery of HR programmes and services.
• Monitor employee engagement and recommend initiatives to enhance culture and experience.
• Ensure compliance with employment legislation and workplace safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to understand business strategies, operational challenges and workforce needs, translating them into effective HR initiatives.
• Build strong relationships with leaders and employees, providing strategic and operational HR support across the employee lifecycle.
• Act as a trusted advisor on employee relations, performance management, talent development, workforce planning and organisational effectiveness.
• Develop a strong talent pipeline by driving recruitment, onboarding, succession planning and leadership development initiatives.

• Ensure consistent implementation of company HR policies, procedures and initiatives across the assigned business units.

Requirements

• Recognised Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related discipline.
• Professional HR certification (e.g. SHRM, CIPD, MIHRM or equivalent) will be an added advantage.
• Minimum 3 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in an HR Business Partner or HR Generalist role.
• Experience in a multinational corporation (MNC) environment will be an added advantage.
• Comfortable working in a matrix organisation and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Strong communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels.
