Job summary

Jayapay is seeking an experienced HRBP to partner with business leaders on workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, people development, and succession planning. You will advise managers on people management, team effectiveness, and HR matters.

Lead recruitment strategies, employee relations, performance management, analytics, and governance, ensuring compliance with Malaysian Employment Act and company policies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of HR experience, with 2–3 years in an HRBP or strategic HR Generalist role.
• Strong knowledge of the Malaysian Employment Act and labour regulations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Advise and coach managers on people management, team effectiveness, and HR matters.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning

• Lead recruitment for key positions and build talent pipelines aligned with business needs.
• Partner with hiring managers to develop hiring strategies and improve recruitment processes and employer branding.

Employee Relations & Performance Management

• Manage employee relations matters, including disciplinary cases, grievances, investigations, and conflict resolution.
• Drive probation, confirmation, performance reviews, and PIP processes while supporting managers in performance coaching.

Talent Development & Engagement

• Identify capability gaps and support learning, leadership development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Contribute to building a positive, high-performance workplace culture.

HR Projects, Analytics & Governance

• Lead HR projects, policy improvements, and process enhancement initiatives.
• Analyze HR data and workforce trends to provide actionable insights.
• Ensure compliance with the Employment Act, labour regulations, and company policies.

Job Requirements

Must Have

• Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or related field.
• 5+ years of HR experience, with at least 2–3 years in an HRBP or strategic HR Generalist role.
• Hands-on experience in employee relations, recruitment, performance management, and HR operations.
• Good knowledge of the Malaysian Employment Act and labour regulations.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Able to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Good to Have

• Mandarin communication skills to support Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
• Experience in FinTech, Payments, Technology, E-commerce, Startups, or high-growth organizations.
• Experience in organizational change or culture transformation projects.
