Arnet Sdn Bhd seeks a versatile HR & Admin Assistant Manager to join the HR team in Kuala Lumpur. You will align local HR practices with Group HRD strategies, implement policies, and drive employee-related initiatives across performance, talent, culture, and compliance.
You will collaborate with Group HRD and local management to support organizational goals, manage HR operations, and oversee payroll, employee relations, and L&D programs. Mandarin-speaking is preferred.
We are seeking a versatile and experienced HR & Admin Assistant Manager to join the HR Team, aligning local practices with Group HRD strategies. This position will serve as a key contributor, ensuring implementation of HR policies and driving employee-related initiatives. The role works collaboratively with Group HRD and local management to support organizational goals across performance, talent, culture, and compliance.
1. HR Drive for Operational Excellence
Act as a core HR partner for business functions, ensuring an effective HR ops and service delivery.
Champion HR best practices to support employee engagement, retention, and organizational growth.
Serve as a main HR contact for Malaysia workforce matters, escalating when required to Group HRD.
2. Performance & Talent Management
Facilitate performance review, goal-setting, and evaluation processes aligning with Group HRD.
Support talent identification, succession planning, and career growth initiatives.
Partner with business leaders with a strong focus on performance management at funcational level.
Drive L&D programs at regional level, coordinating training plans and skill enhancement initiatives.
Track learning activities, participation, feedback, and report outcomes to Group HRD.
Recommend developmental programs to support career progression and team capability building.
4. Employee Relations & Engagement
Apply in-depth knowledge of Malaysian labour laws and hands-on experience in labour disputes.
Able to handle employee relations matters professionally and independently.
Conduct HR touchpoints, feedback sessions and engagement-driven programs.
Ensure HR compliance with local labour laws and internal conduct standards.
5. Payroll & HR Operations
Oversee payroll process, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and statutory compliance.
Review monthly payroll inputs prepared by HR Payroll Officer before final submission.
Maintain updated employee records, contracts, and HR documentation timely.
Familiar Thailand and Indonesia payroll are added advantage.
Experience in ESD and Foreign worker quota application.
7. Group HR Policy and Process
Demonstrate prior experience working in a structured HR environment with disciplined habits.
Work closely with Group HRD to implement policies, systems, or platform rollouts in all countries.
Ensure local adoption of HR processes - performance, HRIS updates, compliance workflows.
Provide feedback for improvement of HR frameworks and local adaptation where necessary.
Bachelor‘s degree above, with a minimum of 6-8 years in HR generalist experience.
Strong and practical understanding of Malaysian labour laws with hands-on dealing in disputes.
Solid stakeholder management skills, ability to understand management’s intent and execute.
Adaptable to a fast-paced business environment – responsive, proactive, and self-motivated.
HRBP experience in MNCs is highly preferred, especially in driving performance management.
Conversational Mandarin speaking ability (listening and speaking) to communicate in daily work.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Familiarity with cross-cultural collaboration.
