Job summary

Teleperformance Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Johor seeks a Human Resource Business Partner to bridge HR and business operations on a full-time basis. You will advise senior management, drive organisational effectiveness, and align people strategies with business goals.

You will partner across departments, lead workforce planning, talent management, and development initiatives while ensuring compliance with local labour laws and company policies. A CIPD or equivalent certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 3–5 years' experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Consultant, or similar strategic HR role.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment law, labour regulations, and HR best practices.

Responsibilities

About the role

We are seeking a Human Resource Business Partner to join Teleperformance Malaysia Sdn Bhd in our Johor office on a full‑time basis. This is a strategic role that bridges the gap between our Human Resources function and our business operations, serving as a trusted advisor to senior management and operational teams. The Human Resource Business Partner will play a pivotal role in aligning HR initiatives with business objectives, driving organisational effectiveness, and contributing to the growth and success of our company. You will work collaboratively across departments to ensure our people strategies support business performance and foster a positive workplace culture.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders and operational managers to understand their strategic objectives and translate these into effective HR strategies and initiatives
• Provide strategic HR guidance on workforce planning, talent management, performance management, and organisational development
• Manage employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, disciplinary procedures, and grievance handling whilst maintaining a supportive approach
• Develop and implement learning and development programmes tailored to business needs and employee career progression
• Monitor and analyse HR metrics and business indicators to inform strategic recommendations and identify areas for improvement
• Ensure compliance with local employment legislation, labour regulations, and company policies
• Lead or support HR projects and initiatives aimed at improving organisational culture, engagement, and retention
• Provide coaching and mentoring to managers on people management best practices and HR policies
• Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate professionalism when handling sensitive HR matters

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• Minimum of 3-5 years' experience as a HR Business Partner, HR Consultant, or similar strategic HR role
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian employment law, labour regulations, and HR best practices
• Demonstrated experience in workforce planning, talent management, and organisational development
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships across all organisational levels
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities with experience in using HR metrics and data to drive decision‑making
• Proficiency in HR information systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment
• Experience in a contact centre, BPO, or customer service environment is advantageous
• Professional HR certification such as CIPD or equivalent is preferred
