Job summary

Shopee Malaysia Sdn Bhd is seeking an Operations professional to oversee linehaul planning and execution across the regional network. You will plan daily trips, deploy trucks, coordinate with vendors and drivers, and ensure on-time parcel movement.

The role requires strong coordination, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills, with a focus on operational efficiency, KPI tracking, and contingencies during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• Experience in linehaul operations, transport coordination, logistics, or supply chain management is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor daily linehaul trips, truck deployment, loading schedules, and route arrangements to ensure transport capacity and on-time operations.
• Manage end-to-end trip execution, including truck securing, vendor and driver coordination, trip creation, vehicle assignment, and operational follow-up.
• Monitor vendor, truck, and driver performance against KPIs; address service gaps and ensure compliance with requirements.
• Track truck arrivals, departures, and movements; coordinate recovery actions to minimize disruptions.
• Coordinate with SOC, sortation facilities, hubs, SCM, DOP, transport agencies, and internal teams for smooth linehaul execution.
• Investigate delays, breakdowns, driver issues, and disruptions; coordinate contingencies and escalate critical issues.
• Coordinate dedicated transport requirements, including megaled operations and shunting pickups, ensuring departures and parcel clearance.
• Maintain trip records, trackers, and performance reports; identify recurring issues and suggest improvements.

The Operation teams at Shopee covers the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.

Job Description:

• Linehaul Planning & Execution: Plan and monitor daily linehaul trips, truck deployment, loading schedules, and route arrangements to ensure sufficient transport capacity and on-time operations.
• Trip & Transport Coordination: Manage end-to-end trip execution, including truck securing, vendor and driver coordination, trip creation, vehicle assignment, and operational follow-up.
• Vendor & Driver Management: Monitor vendor, truck, and driver performance against operational KPIs. Follow up on service gaps, attendance, vehicle availability, and compliance with operational requirements.
• Real-Time Operations Monitoring: Track truck arrivals, departures, and movement progress. Proactively identify potential delays and coordinate recovery actions or ad-hoc truck arrangements to minimize operational disruption.
• Stakeholder Coordination: Work closely with SOC, sortation facilities, FM hubs, SCM, DOP, transport agencies, and internal operations teams to ensure smooth linehaul execution and timely parcel movement.
• Operational Issue Resolution: Investigate trip delays, truck breakdowns, driver issues, and other transport disruptions. Coordinate contingency arrangements and elevate critical issues promptly.
• Special Operations Support: Coordinate dedicated transport requirements, including MEGA–SDD operations and FM Shunting pickups, ensuring scheduled departures, timely pickups, and parcel clearance.
• Performance Reporting: Maintain accurate trip records, operational trackers, and performance reports. Monitor service gaps, identify recurring issues, and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Peak & Ad-hoc Planning: Develop and execute contingency plans for campaign periods, peak volumes, sudden capacity shortages, and other unexpected operational requirements.
• Process Compliance & Improvement: Ensure compliance with linehaul SOPs, operational timelines, and reporting requirements. Identify opportunities to improve truck utilization, trip execution, and overall transport performance.

Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
• Experience in linehaul operations, transport coordination, logistics, or supply chain management is an advantage.
• Strong coordination, problem-solving, organizational, and prioritization skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to coordinate across internal teams, vendors, and drivers.
• Ability to monitor multiple trips and resolve time-sensitive operational issues in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets; experience with operational trackers and reporting is an advantage.
• Adaptable, proactive, detail-oriented, and accountable for operational outcomes.
• Willing to work on a rotational shift schedule and support operational requirements outside standard hours when necessary.
• Working Pattern: 45 hours per week, rotational shifts; additional working days or overtime may be required based on operational needs.
