MAPA Gloves Sdn Bhd in Ipoh seeks an HSE Engineer to oversee workplace safety, health, and environmental management. You will conduct site inspections, address findings, and coordinate ESH tasks to ensure compliance with local laws and ISO standards.

The role requires a Degree in OSH/Environmental Sciences/Engineering, at least 5 years in manufacturing, and a Certified Safety and Health Officer. Independent work and prioritization skills are essential.

HSE Engineer role focused on workplace safety, health, and environmental management. You will perform workplace site inspections, supervise and address inspection findings, and manage occupational safety, health, and environmental matters by controlling, monitoring, enforcing, and coordinating ESH-related tasks.

Key responsibilities

Perform workplace site inspections, supervise and address inspection findings

Manage and improve Occupational Safety, Health, and Environmental matters by controlling, monitoring, enforcing, and coordinating ESH-related tasks

Establish and maintain ESH practices in line with applicable local laws, internal policies, ISO 45001, ISO14001 and SEAL requirements

Lead efforts to monitor environmental compliances including scheduled waste, IETS, scrubber and back filter

Manage security service providers, including guard force deployment and performance monitoring

Review and improve service-level agreements (SLA) to ensure high-quality security operations

About you

Minimum Degree in OSH/Environmental Sciences/Engineering

Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing environment

Certified Safety and Health Officer

Able to work independently, coordinate and prioritize tasks
