Job summary

Wear Safe (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (WSM) seeks a Health and Safety Executive to lead the safety and health initiatives across the manufacturing site.

You will coordinate employee safety training, advise leadership on safety matters, and ensure proper signage and documentation are maintained. The role requires a proactive, disciplined individual with strong communication and analytical skills. With the company’s history in glove manufacturing and a strong safety culture, you will play a key part in

• Minimum 3 years of working experience in Manufacturing Industry.
• Independent and result oriented with good written & communication skills.
• Strong computer skills are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide the company safety & health committee.

Ensure that all operations workplace is conformed to safety & health requirements & high safety standards.

Lead & guide the company safety & health committee.

Coordinate all training of employees on site & schedule all courses with the safety department.

Wear Safe (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. (WSM) was acquired by KOSSAN in 2003. WSM started its operation in Port Klang with 5 dipping latex surgical glove lines. In year 2007, WSM was relocated to new plant at Jalan Meru, Klang with a centralized sterile packing location and enhanced production lines of a capacity of 8 million pairs of surgical gloves per month.

With a growing market demand, KOSSAN has invested another WSM plant in Jalan Meru in year 2013. The plant was commissioned with 9 new production lines with a monthly capacity of more than 31.5 million pairs of surgical gloves . The plant has obtained ISO 9001:2008, EN ISO 13485:2012 Quality Management System (QMS) and CMDR and ISO Class 8 in 2013.

As at today, there are more than 400 well-trained employees in WSM. With the advent of Information Technology, KOSSAN has embrace and employed new technologies to cultivate a knowledge-based workforce and to promote better communications with all relevant parties.
