Job summary

HUI HONG YUAN PETROLEUM SDN BHD in Jasin, Melaka is seeking an EHS professional to coordinate and monitor workplace health, safety and environmental activities. You will ensure compliance with policies and EHS laws, and support safety programs.

Responsibilities include site inspections, risk assessment, accident investigations, training, PPE monitoring, records management, and environmental oversight. Collaborate with contractors to uphold safe practices and drive CAPAs and audits.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor workplace health, safety and environmental (EHS) activities.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify hazards.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable EHS laws and regulations.
• Assist in preparing risk assessments, JSA/JHA, SOPs, and safety procedures.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, near misses, and recommend corrective actions.
• Conduct or coordinate safety training, toolbox meetings, and safety briefings.
• Monitor the proper use of PPE and safe working practices.
• Maintain EHS records, inspection reports, training records, permits, and incident documentation.
• Coordinate emergency response, fire drills, evacuation exercises, and other safety programs.
• Monitor environmental matters such as waste management, chemical handling, pollution prevention, and housekeeping.
• Work with contractors and employees to ensure safe work practices.
• Follow up on corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) until completion.
• Support internal and external EHS audits and inspections.
• Prepare regular EHS reports and safety performance statistics for management.
